Wintering, The Art of Slowing Down

December 4.5.6

Before the holidays ask more of you, give yourself permission to do less.

Wintering is an invitation to step away from the noise and busyness of the season and settle into a quieter rhythm. For one cozy December weekend, leave the lists, obligations, and expectations behind and come experience the simple luxury of slowing down.

Inspired by the natural rhythm of winter, this retreat is about honoring our own need for rest. Outside, the landscape grows quiet. The trees let go. The earth conserves its energy and turns inward. We’ll take our cue from nature and do the same.

Throughout the weekend, gentle yoga and deeply restorative practices will encourage you to soften and reconnect with your body. A soothing Sound Bath will invite stillness and deep relaxation, while our Forest Spa Ritual offers the kind of restorative warmth that feels especially indulgent in the heart of winter.

Gather around cozy fires, linger over nourishing winter meals, sip something warm, wrap yourself in a blanket, wander through the quiet woods, or simply enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.

As part of the weekend, we’ll gather for our Winter Branch Ritual, a quiet reflective experience centered around setting down what you’ve been carrying. Rather than asking what you need to accomplish before another year begins, we’ll consider what you might be ready to release—or simply allow yourself to stop carrying for a while. Leave a little behind, make room for what you need, and enter the winter season feeling lighter.

There will be time for connection and shared experiences, but also plenty of space to retreat into your own quiet. No pressure to transform. No resolutions to make. No expectation to emerge as a new version of yourself.

Just warm food. Gentle movement. Healing sound. Restorative spa time. Fireside moments. Winter woods. Deep breaths.

And permission to simply be for a while.
