If you anticipate arriving after 7:00 PM, we kindly ask that you let us know in advance so we can prepare for your arrival.
On occasion, we may be able to accommodate an early check-in; however, this must be requested in advance by phone and is not guaranteed.

Guests are welcome to linger a bit longer and enjoy the trails after departure, as long as your room has been vacated. -
We serve a thoughtfully prepared four- to five-course farm-to-table breakfast each morning for our Inn guests from 9:00–10:30 AM.
Cottage guests are welcome to join us for breakfast at $30 per person, per day. While we do not offer additional full meals at the Inn, a selection of “Pantry Provisions” are available for purchase, including frozen pizzas, house-made popcorn, chips, and homemade salsa.

We are happy to accommodate dietary needs whenever possible.
We make every effort to thoughtfully prepare options for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets.Please note that while we take care in our kitchen, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination, and may not be able to safely accommodate guests with severe allergies requiring a completely allergen-free environment.

Yes—you're welcome to bring your own food and beverages.
Each Inn room is equipped with a mini refrigerator, and our Center Room offers a shared pizza oven/toaster oven, microwave, as well as dishware and cutlery for light preparation.The Cottage features a fully equipped kitchen and full-size refrigerator for a more self-sufficient stay. You’ll also find a list of nearby grocery stores in your room should you wish to gather provisions and settle in with ease during your stay.

Our Inn is a pet-free space to ensure comfort for all guests.
The Cottage is pet-friendly and welcomes up to three dogs with a $75 pet cleaning fee. We kindly ask that dogs remain leashed when other guests are present and that owners clean up after their pets.
Please note that we do have a resident dog, Fiona—an Australian Shepherd - who you may see happily roaming the property.

The Journey Inn is an adult-only retreat, thoughtfully designed to offer a peaceful, restorative environment for those seeking rest, relaxation, and quiet connection.
The Cottage welcomes children ages 10 and older. If you are reserving the entire property for a private event, this policy is waived and guests of all ages are welcome.

Yes, a deposit of 50% of your stay is collected at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due at check-out. If Travel Insurance is selected, the final balance will be automatically processed prior to your arrival for a seamless check-in experience.

A deposit of 50% of your stay is required at the time of booking.
Cancellations made with at least two weeks’ notice will receive a full refund of the deposit, less a $35 cancellation fee. For cancellations made within two weeks of arrival, a gift certificate will be issued for the amount paid, less the $35 fee.
Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival.
Please note that special events and retreats are subject to their own cancellation policies, which will be provided at the time of booking.
In the event of severe winter weather and an official advisory to stay off the roads—either in your location or ours we’re happy to offer a gift certificate for the full amount of your deposit for a future stay

Yes, we offer Wi-Fi throughout the property via Starlink. Cell service is generally strong when connected to Wi-Fi.
Due to the surrounding hills and bluffs, you may experience limited service while driving in the area. We recommend entering your destination before departing the Inn to ensure a smooth and stress-free journey.

We’re surrounded by water in all directions. Lake Pepin is just 3 miles away, the Rush River is less than a mile from the property, and Little Rush Creek winds its way peacefully through the property itself.

You may add your selected Forest Spa services at the time of booking your stay. A member of our team will then reach out prior to schedule your services ahead of your arrival.
Please note that massage offerings are based on therapist availability.

Yes, a non-refundable $50 deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your Forest Spa service. This deposit is applied toward your total balance.
As our spa experiences are thoughtfully prepared and scheduled in advance with our therapists, the deposit allows us to hold your time with care and we can create a seamless and personalized experience for your time at the Forest Spa.

The Forest Spa is tucked into the lower level of the Cottage—just beyond the arbor, down the cedar path, and through the French doors creating a quiet, tucked-away setting for your spa experience.
If you are staying at the Journey Inn, a member of our team will meet you at the spa to guide your experience. Day guests are kindly asked to check in at the main Inn prior to their appointment.

If you are staying at the Journey Inn or Cottage, the sauna is generally available for guest use without a reservation.
At times, the sauna may be reserved for private spa services, and those times will be noted accordingly.
We kindly ask that guests be mindful of others enjoying the space and allow for a quiet, relaxed experience—waiting for a session to conclude before entering when possible to preserve the peaceful, restorative atmosphere for all guests.

No, we welcome outside guests based on availability. We offer curated Journey Inn Day Pass experiences designed for those wishing to experience the Forest Spa without an overnight stay.
Advance reservations are required and must be made by phone. A deposit is also required to secure your booking.
