About Your Yoga Guides…

Katherine Sweere has been practicing yoga for over 25 years, first discovering it during her years of ballet training and professional career. With a strong foundation in biological sciences—holding a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology—she brings physicality, curiosity, and scientific insight into her teaching. As she transitioned away from dance, yoga became a meaningful way to continue her love of movement while expanding into a deeper mind-body practice. Katherine earned her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2024 and is honored to share yoga’s movement, philosophy, and spirit with others, recently adding a Partner Thai Yoga continuing education certification to her training. She lives in the Twin Cities with her husband, Nick, their two Labradors, Luke and Fredrick, and five chickens.  Katherine remains deeply committed to lifelong learning through both modern biology and timeless wellness practices

Niki Scarpa Cohen E-RYT500, AYS , guides well-rounded classes that are light-hearted yet meditative, flowing thoughtfully to cultivate balance, calm energy, and mindful presence. Her teaching emphasizes proper alignment while supporting strength, flexibility, focus, self-awareness, and deep relaxation. An experienced teacher with advanced training, Niki has been practicing yoga since 2001 and completed her 200-hour training in 2011 and her 500-hour training in 2014. As a guide and coach, Niki draws from yoga philosophy, energy medicine, Ayurveda, spiritual development, and her lived experience navigating trauma, periods of darkness and disconnection, anxiety, and addiction, alongside years of service with people with disabilities,  including cognitive issues such as Alzheimer's- allowing her to hold compassionate, non-judgmental space for all students.  Outside the studio, she finds balance through long hikes, daydreaming in a hammock on summer days, cultivating native plants, and caring for land and water as a MN Water Steward, sharing her home with her husband, daughter, and dog.

Meagan Betz is a dedicated yoga instructor, sound healer, Reiki practitioner, and massage therapist, deeply committed to fostering holistic well-being in all facets of life. With a strong foundation in healthcare as a Registered Nurse, Meagan brings a unique perspective to her wellness practices, integrating medical knowledge and holistic health principles. Meagan holds a Master's degree in Law of Ethics and Compliance, which has equipped her with a profound understanding of integrity and ethical practices, values she infuses into every yoga session and therapeutic service she offers. Her yoga teaching credentials were earned through an intensive Hatha program at the University of MN (RYT 200) where she developed a deep love for guiding individuals on their journey to physical, mental, and spiritual balance.
